Carlos Acosta

As a VP of the One Year MBA's in the Graduate Student Council my aim is to increase the impact the One Year students have in the Babson Community. I will represent the best interests of my classmates and direct the efforts towards improving the One-Year experience in the brief, but intense year, we get to spend together. I believe my objectives are tuned to yours and that communication between us is a simple and easy thing. Give me the chance to represent you and the rest of our class to the Graduate Student Council.

Mayur Patil

My name is Mayur Patil. I’ve been nominated to represent the one-year program as a Vice president of the Graduate Student Council. What I see in the one year MBA program is a group of incredibly talented students and I believe the opportunity to represent you guys allows me to grow as a leader and an entrepreneur. Honestly, the responsibility to represent the student body gives me a great high.
Personally, I come from a background of sports and leadership positions. I was an Indian National Tennis player where I had the opportunity to represent the country in the Under 16 and the U-18 Category, with a national best ranking of # 6.
I’ve also had the opportunity to lead my High school. In-fact, I believe that the responsibility I had as a High- school captain leading a group of over 2000 students will be similar to this role. If elected, I will be responsible to uphold several goals of the GSC as outlined in the GSC Constitution: ◦ Enhance the prestige of the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. ◦ Provide an atmosphere conducive to GSC fellowship and promote interaction between members of the graduate student body, the academic community, and the professional community. ◦ Support the graduate student educational experience. ◦ Foster an atmosphere of camaraderie, understanding, support and goodwill at Babson
I will work hard at being a leader amongst the many incredibly intelligent peers. I will focus on keeping this position action oriented and transparent.
With the leadership experience I hold, I am confident that I will be able to live up to the expectations that you guys have in me. More importantly, I will focus on making your Babson experience the best that it can ever be.
I’m Mayur Patil,, running for VP of the GSC, Babson college. Thank you.

Roberto Tietzsch

Hello, my name is Roberto Tietzsch and I would be honoured to represent you as the class Vice-President. My experience in student affairs and activities predates my time here at Babson, and I feel I have a lot to offer. To be specific, I have been involved with Federal Elections in Canada as well as Student elections during my undergraduate degree.
I know the importance and value of good representation within student government, and I am prepared to passionately represent your interests. I take the responsibility of representing you very seriously and I am committed to conduct my personal and professional affairs with utmost respect and integrity. I would be thrilled and honoured to count on your vote and your trust to stand for you as vice president.
Finally, I am certain that my entrepreneurial spirit as well as corporate experience have prepared me to represent each one of you.
Thank you for your time, for your trust, and for your vote!

Greetings MBA Candidates 2013,
As many of you know, I have been representing the 1 year MBA's as Class Rep. During this time I have done my best to keep the communication flowing between the faculty and the students, while providing the faculty with your needs and your suggestions to keep our MBA program among the best in Massachusetts and in the U.S.
With your support and my determination, specially now when globalization is broad and markets are so competitive, together we will strive to push the Babson brand one step closer to greatness.
Thank you all for your support!

Nikhil Keswani

My Fellow-Peers,
Being an Indian entrepreneur in Nigeria who has studied and worked across three continents: Asia, Africa & Europe, I believe I have had the benefit of diversity in experience to pursue my goals. This international exposure has allowed me to readily adapt to culture-specific ethos while strengthening my traits of competition, communication and co-operation.
For these very reasons I shall be able to successfully represent our 1- Year MBA class for the forthcoming academic year. Having spent the last 3 months with you (and I mean literally), I can say with utmost certainty that I have shared every emotional sentiment any of you have experienced. Being able to work even more closely with you to understand your individual needs, provide (reasonably) sound advice, and communicate your needs with administration, I can confidently say that I shall continuously strive towards making our overall experience here at Babson a memorable one.
A famous quote comes to mind:
“I don't want to live in the kind of world where we don't look out for each other. Not just the people that are close to us, but anybody who needs a helping hand. I cant change the way anybody else thinks, or what they choose to do, but I can do my bit.”
― Charles de Lint

I am running for VP, because I want to make a change in the way our Alma Mater is seen globally and how it is interacting with other universities and organizations in the Boston area. Moreover, as international student and business owner I know the necessity to built large, but stable and functional relationships worldwide to be successful in the today’s changing environment. Therefore, I will focus to work with YOU to position Babson as the LINDKIN of Boston.
