Red Sox Green Team

Details

When: Saturday, June 23 2012, 6:15 PM to 11:00 PM
Location: Fenway Park
Category: Graduate
On Saturday, June 23, Babson graduate students and their partners have the opportunity to become a part of the Fenway Green Team. By agreeing to assist the Red Sox staff in collecting recyclable materials during the Red Sox vs. Atlanta Braves game on the 23rd, you’ll gain free admittance. This is a great way to experience Boston culture, watch some of the game AND help out the environment! Twenty spots remain. To sign up, click HERE. Registration is required by Wednesday, June 20th AT NOON.

The responsibilities of the volunteers are simple. After signing up using the link above, all volunteers are required to show up at 6:15 PM and check in with the Fenway team at the entrance on Ipswich Street. You will then be assigned a certain section of the park, where you will be able to stand, watch the game for free, and pick up recycling in between innings. Fenway will supply recycling bags and gloves for you—you just need to be on the lookout for beer bottles and soda bottles. After the 7th inning, your job is done, and you are free to just watch the rest of the game.

On Thursday, you'll receive a Dos and Dont's List for Green Team Volunteers, a map of the Fenway entrance, and a Red Sox waiver via email.

A few quick notes:

  • You must be at Fenway Park by 6:15PM on June 22nd via your own transportation. I strongly recommend the T as there will be TONS of traffic and parking is expensive on game days.
  • You must bring the Green Team Waiver with you.
