What?
In 1998, Judy Shepard lost her son, Matthew Shepard, to a murder motivated by anti-gay hate. Turning tragedy into a crusade for justice, and determined to prevent Matthew’s fate from befalling others, she established The Matthew Shepard Foundation to help carry on his legacy.
Speaking from a mother’s perspective, Judy travels across the nation speaking to audiences about what they can do as individuals and communities to make the world a more accepting place for everyone, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sex, gender identity and expression, or sexual orientation. On October 4th, we are honored to have her here at Babson. We urge you to join us and hear her moving tale.
